We're living in wild times, aren't we? AI is everywhere, promising to revolutionize how we work and live. But as Kent pointed out, it's also creating new security challenges that we can't ignore.

One thing that really stuck with me was the concept of "shadow AI." It's not just about employees using ChatGPT on the sly anymore. We're talking about AI models running on laptops and APIs being accessed from who-knows-where. It's a whole new world of potential data leaks and security risks.

Today's show is based on the 2024 Security Priorities Report.

But it's not all doom and gloom. Kent highlighted some exciting ways AI is making security pros' lives easier. Think about summarizing incidents, speeding up threat hunting, and even helping with the mind-numbing task of regulatory compliance. It's like having a super-smart assistant that never sleeps.

Of course, we couldn't avoid talking about deepfakes. They're getting scarily good, and Kent predicts they'll be commonplace by 2026. Yikes! But there's hope – detection tools are improving, and regulations are coming. We might all be "badging" our AI-generated content soon.

So what should you do? Kent's advice is solid: start with the basics. Get that acceptable use policy in place, communicate with your team, and maybe dip your toes in with a few safe use cases. And if you're feeling overwhelmed (who isn't?), don't be afraid to ask for help. That's what experts like Kent and the WWT team are there for.

Remember, we're all figuring this out together. Stay curious, stay vigilant, and let's keep the conversation going!
